On Kissinger Straße in Berlin’s Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district, two town villas with a total of seven condominiums were realised. The quiet residential street is characterised by old-growth trees, front gardens and set-back buildings. The ensemble takes up this sense of scale and combines classic, traditional design elements with contemporary floor plans.
The two three-storey residential buildings, one of them with an additional set-back top floor, were given mineral render façades with a fine-grained finish. Subtle brick banding, distinctive corner window elements and a prominent eaves cornice define the appearance. The seven apartments, comprising two garden apartments, spacious full-floor apartments and a penthouse with a roof terrace, range from roughly 80 to 111 square metres. Balconies, terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows extend the living spaces outward.
The underground garage with seven parking spaces is accessed via a car lift. Extensively planted flat roofs support rainwater retention and the local microclimate.
